It is spring loaded and will easily release with a pull of the ring, Secure this onto a vest system, pant loop or any other gear. Provides a 1" mount ring for tactical accessories like some of the most popular slings and vest components. It's design offers an alternative to the HK-style snap hooks in common use for sling systems. It is constructed out of heavy duty industrial steel with a black finish. Pulling on the ring releases the hook, allowing you to slip the hook to the rear of your sling for 1 pt configuration on your sling, or hooking to the front of the rifle for 2pt configuration, or releasing the hook to drop your weapon if need be to engage with your secondary weapon
