Description:

 

Rockwool (mineralwool) products is an economical light weight thermal insulation material which is well recognized as one of the best material for thermal and insulation purpose is manufactured from a mixture of natural rocks (basalt and dolomite) melted at high temperature to form a molten matrix, which is then passed through an air stream that cools the material and forms long fibrous strands. These strands are bonded together to form slabs, blocks, blankets, pipe covers and granulates (non-bonded). The material is chemically and biologically inert and free from plant pathogens.

 

 

Applications:

 

ROCKWOOL spanseal board is designed to act as a barrier and is incorporated in the manufacture of the curtain walling spandrel panels. This type of fire resistance is passive and serves to compartmentalize the building into isolated sections and contain any possible fire to the floor of origin. Part from fine protection, rovwool insulation also has excellent thermal insulation and acoustic properties. This product can be faced in variety of option including black tissue. As the density of the product increases, the spandrels become more rigid, and easier to handle with some increased acoustic & thermal benefits. Also there is more resistance to radiant heat flow.
