Tellurium copper (C14500,CuTeP), with half per cent of tellurium (Te), can be free cutting/ machining, thus enabling a much higher maching speed than is possible with pure copper and ensuring a longer tool life.
On machinability rating scale with 100 for free cutting brass HPb 63-3 (C36000) and 20 for pure copper, tellurium copper is rated as 90.
Tellurium copper also has high electric conductivity (90% IACS) and thermal conductivity. It resistant to arc, corrosion and hyrogen embrittlement. Both Cold working or hot forming are practicable.
Good tellurium copper products can be manufactured only from high quality billets. Xinju's tellurium copper alloys are all made from quality 99.99% copper cathode and 99.99% tellurium ingots, with phosphorus playing as the deoxidant.
Well equipped laboratories help to maintain the high standard of product development and expertise. As a result Xinju is able to establish a high level of quality control over its manufacturing process. A QHSE system also have been established to ensure the quality and service provided from Xinju. All products have SGS and RoHS certifications.
Typical applications:
—welding torch tips & gas cutting nozzles
—electrical swichies on power semiconductors
—transformer & circuit breaker terminals
—connectors ( banana plugs)
