AAC Conductor
It's designed for use in overhead transmission and distribution systems and as bus connections in substations. Solid conductors used for mechanical and grounding applications.Classes AA and A are used primarily for overhead transmission and primary and secondary distribution,where ampacity must be maintained,a lighter conductor (compared to ACSR ) is needed and when conductor strength is not a critical factor.Classes B and C are used primarily on bus,apparatus connectors and jumpers,where additional flexibility is required.
AAAC Conductor
AAAC conductor are made from aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy of high electrical conductivity (min 53%IACS) containing magnesium (0.6-0.9%) & silicon (0.5-0.9%) to give it bettermechanical properties after treatment. AAAC conductors are made out of aluminumalloy 6201. AAAC conductor has a better corrosion resistance and better strengthto weight ratio and improved electrical conductivity than ACSR conductor onequal diameter basis.
ACSR Conductor
ACSR is a composite concentric-lay-stranded conductor. Galvanized steel strand or strands form the central core of theconductor, around which is stranded one or more layers of EC Grade Aluminiumwires. The steel core may consist of a single strand or a concentric strandedcable of 7, 19, 37, or more wires. Numerous combinations of aluminum and steelstrands and layers arepossible.
