Birch core veneer, also called discolored birch veneer and discoloration birch veneer, originated from northeast China and Irkutsk of Russia, is a hardwood veneer mainly used for furniture surface and back making and interior decoration. Discolored birch veneer has a nice grains with red and white color.The most popular grain form of discolored birch veneer is crown cut. The red and white color of discolored birch veneer make it one of the more attractive hardwood veneers. The better logs display a uniform cathedral crown with clean grain. The annual growth rings are often lightly defined and give the veneer a unobvious look.  In veneers, the color and structure of discolored birch veneer with cheaper cost is very similar to oliver ash veneer.
