Introduction

Y441B ESP packer is a single-mandrel, hydraulic-set production packer. The packer has two chemical injection ports and one port for a vent valve. A lower set of case carburized bi-directional slips holds the packer against pressure from either direction, while a set of pressure actuated button slips hold the packer against differential pressure from below. Release and retrieval is accomplished by straight upward pull on the tubing string.

There is no relative movement between the strings when setting or releasing the packer, which avoids unwanted cable strain.
