PDC picks are widely used for hard tunneling excavation, coal mining (with coal gangue), complex geology, road milling, applied in construction of rotary drilling machines and dual milling equipment. When cutting coal rocks, picks will bear periodic high compressive stress, shear stress and impact load. The pick head is PDC insert. Using HTHP process, the PDC head is with extremely wear resistance, excellent impact resistance and heat resistance, also with good heat conduction, corrosion resistance.

The combination of the pick head and pick body applies the cold setting process.
