Scott's engineers have developed IMP™, the newest technology applied to carbon production.
SDS: Shock Damping System
SDS minimizes high frequency vibration from the road, enabling a damping effect without losing performance.
HMX-NET Carbon Fiber
While Scott already uses the proven HMF composite fiber on all their composite high-end bike models, they have improved upon conventional HMF material.
Tubular Structure
One carbon piece tubular seatstay, chainstay & dropout combined with Direct Postmount 160 to shed an additional 25 grams.
SCDS SCOTT Carbon Dropout System
SCDS uses a carbon fiber dropout with a replaceable alloy hanger. A lightweight, precise and durable alloy disc brake mount improves heat distribution while braking.
29" Wheels
Improved roll-over effect is the most prolific attribute when it comes to 29" wheels. The big wheels are great for rolling over nasty roots and rocky sections, essentially making it easier to ride these conditions. Improved traction is also a key factor with the increased wheel diameter compared to 26” wheels as tire contact to the ground is larger.
