Super safety valve / Halliburton SSV for well testing drill stem testing
The Super Safety Valve is a Fail Safe Safety Valve for well testing and drill stem testing, The SSV is normally run inside
or below the Blow Out Preventer (BOP) and is used to control well flow. Its ID is 3.0 in., OD is 8.0 in., and the working
pressure is 15,000 psi. The Super Safety Valve is controlled by two hydraulic lines and contains a chemical injection
port. It is designed to close by spring force but has a nitrogen charge chamber to quicken the closing time.
This feature gives the valve the ability to cut wireline and coiled tubing without the addition of balance line pressure.
