A trailing suction hopper dredger has large, powerful pumps and enginesthat enable it to suck up sand, clay, sludge and even gravel from oceanor river beds. One or two suction pipes run from the vessel to the bed. Adraghead is attached to the end of the pipe and lowered to just abovethe bed, making it possible to regulate the mixture of sand and waterthat it takes in. A trailing suction hopper dredger generally stores thedredged material in its own hopper and discharges the left-over wateroverboard.

2.Working environment
1.The range of adaptation to theenvironment: the temperature no higher than 40 degrees Celsius in summerand winter temperatures not lower than -10 degrees Celsius, the airhumidity is no more than 30%, wind power does not exceed 7 in rivers.
2.River ore requirements: sand ratio is no less than 60% (clay content isno more than 10% scree content is no more than 15% gravel content is nomore than 15% Wind Stone is no higher than 10%.)
3. The ship diesel engine should apply to the CIS countries grade use of fuel, oil.
4. The ship is equipped with night-time lighting system suitable for all weather conditions and working uninterrupted.
