Outer ring fordrawncup needle roller bearings(DC type) is made of cold rolled steel strip accurately
formed.Structure of DC needle roller bearings features space saving and higher capacity.They are suitable
for applications with limited space and housing not hard enough to act as raceway. No requirement on axial
location when the DC needle roller bearing is pressed into the housing.
In most applications inner ring is not necessary for DC needle roller bearings unless shaft raceway is
impractical,standard inner rings for DC to compare with open end DC needle roller bearings, close end DC
needle roller bearings are good for sealing at the close end of bearings,operating temperature range for
bearings grease lubricatedare 20℃ to +120℃.
One-Way clutches DC 5776A-N
1. The drawn cup needle roller clutch is the overriding clutch (one-way clutch), composed of the outer ring
punched with the high-quality steel sheet, plastic retainer, spring and needles, used for transferring one-
way torque.The drawn cup needle roller clutch has not the load carrying feature by itself. However it can
play the action in combination with Model HK and BK drawn cup needle roller bearing.The drawn cup needle
roller clutch is the block bearing either withstanding the radial load or transferring torque.
2. Inspection the enveloping circle diameter
The dimensional accuracy of drawn cup needle roller bearings cannot be measured before fitting without a
ring gauge as the thin-walled outer ring can be out of round due to the manufacturing process. The bearings
obtain the accuracy required for their correct function only when pressed into ahousing bore which must be
manufactured with the recommended tolerance limits.
The enveloping circle diameter can then be checked as follows:
a. Press the bearing into a steel ring gauge(wall thickness≥20mm).The bore dimension of the ring
gauge must correspond to that given.
b. Measure the enveloping circle diameter with cylindrical go and no-go gauge plugs.
3. Type DC is a sprag type freewheel cage without inner or outer races. It must be installed in a design
providing races, bearing support for axial and radial loads, lubrication and sealing. The DC type version-N
accepts all types of lubricants currently used in the power transmission equipement.
The sprag space tolerance must not be exceeded. Inner and outer races must both have a minimum plain
width "e", without any recess, to ensure the freewheel functions correctly as shown on following pages.
Alternatively, races can be made in case hardened steel shafts, or housings, to the specification below.
Surface hardness of the finished part should be HRC 60 to 62, for a depth of 0,6 mm minimum.
Core hardness to be HRC35 to 45. Surface roughness not to exceed 22CLA. Maximum taper between races:
0,007 mm for 25 mm width.
