FeCrAl Resistance Heating Alloy 0Cr25Al5 Wire is a high-temperature ferritic iron-chromium-aluminium alloy (FeCrAl alloy) wire which is recommended for element temperatures up to 1250°C. It is especially recommended where excellent oxidation and life properties in combination with good form stability properties are required. FeCrAl Resistance Heating Alloy is used in electrical heating elements in industrial furnaces and in the appliance industry.
FeCrAl Resistance Heating Wire has high resistance, low temperature coefficient of electric resistance, high operating temperature, and good corrosion resistance under high temperature, especially under the atmosphere containing sulfides. FeCrAl Resistance Heating Wire possesses good oxidation and heat resistance.It iscreep-resistant over a wide range of temperature. FeCrAl Resistance heating Wire has advantages such as lower raw-material cost, superior oxidation resistance, lower density, and lower thermal expansion coefficient than the nickel base super-alloys.
FeCrAl Resistance heating Wire has less hot strength than nickel alloys but much higher melting point and lower price. After being heated the Resistance Wire's plasticity becomes bad, easy brittleness, not to be easy to weld. However, If can be reasonably used, also be a kind of ideal electric heating material. FeCrAl Resistance Wire has excellent oxidation properties at 800-1300° C because of the formation of a highly protective Al2O3 scale.
