OnAccess8824D is a dual fiber version of the "triple play" Optical Line Terminal (OLT). It is a 24+2G high-performance managed Layer 2+ gigabit optical Ethernet switch with CATV optical signal splitter and wavelength division multiplexers (WDM). It provides an ideal solution to deliver "triple-play" services (data, voice and CATV) over single single-mode fiber for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) or fiber-to-the-building (FTTB) applications.
OnAccess8824D offers up to 24 configurable 100Base-FX/1000Base-X Ethernet ports and 24 CATV optical signal output ports which are connected to FirstMile's OnAccess4xxS or OnAccess7702S series optical network unit (ONU). OnAccess8824D also offers two 100Base-FX/1000Base-X SFP or 10/100/1000Base-TX RJ-45 combo ports for fast connection to the core data networks, and one CATV optical signal input port.
OnAccess8824D is designed to meet the emerging Ethernet based “triple play” FTTx requirement, and its completed and rich feature set provides flexibility of meeting different applications; especially in access network and small and medium scale customized network. The dual power supplies design provides the redundancy for high reliability applications. It is with standard rack-mount size and 2U high.
OnAccess8824D network management allows administrators to easily configure features, monitor performance and troubleshoots the switches using a standard RS-232 port, Web browser, Command Line Interface (CLI) and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)-based network management platforms. Embedded Network Management System is optional.
