1064nm laser: Melanin has a nice absorption of 1064nm wavelength, while the oxyhemoglobin and hematin show a faint absorption at this wavelength. This enables 1064nm to have the deepest penetration. It is therefore potentially effective for both epidermal and dermal pigmented lesions including dark (blue & black) tattoos, dermal pigmented lesions, and skin resurfacing;
