MINI wind and solar off-grid power generation system require storage battery,the cost of the configuration battery of a MINI system accounts for 30~40% of the whole configuration cost,and it is a very big proportion.But why the battery life in MINI system is not long is mainly because of misusing batteries or not taking excellent charging management program,which greatly affect the life of storage battery.
MINI wind and solar off-grid power generation system commonly use lead storage batteries as energy storing device(including ordinary lead-acid battery,maintenance-free lead-acid battery,deep cycle battery,colloid battery).Because the lead acid battery has been developing and improving for centuries and has become one of the most widely used chemical power supply in the world,it has good reversibility,stable voltage,long life,wide application,abundant raw material(also can be used renewable)and low cost.However,the two power generation systems will be affected by the changes of nature conditions,which make them intermittent and uncontrollable.So research on effective charging management is very significant to extend battery life.
