Covering Flux
Heat insulation is very important during steel making process. The effect of heat insulation has direct influence on the quality of billet. The control of temperature drop decides the cost of steel making to some extent. Based on the content of carbon, G-High covering flux falls into four categories: high carbon, medium carbon, micron carbon and non-carbon; based on basicity, G-High covering flux falls into three categories: slightly acidic, basic and highly basic. Based on shape, G-High covering flux falls into powder and particle categories. In the case of big slag in ladle, tundish and iron ladle, G-High covering flux can be used to dilute and remove slag to solve the problem of big slag in molten steel. Different covering flux should be used according to different steel grades, ladle, tundish and iron ladle. G-High covering flux shows the features of good spreadability, excellent high insulation, no adherent dross, no encrustation and easy to remove slag, long insulating time, no eroding ladle lining, good absorption of impurities and no pollution of molten steel and environment.
