The addition of molybdenum of Steel Plate 316/Steel Sheet 316L provides an extra measure of corrosion resistance making this grade suitable for applications involving severe corrosive conditions such as use in the chemical industries and marine atmospheres. This grade of Steel Plate 316/ Steel Sheet 316L stainless may become slightly magnetic when cold worked. Steel Plate 316/ Steel Sheet 316L is sheared to size or can be cut into shapes or rings on Speedy Metals High Definition Plasma cutter.
