Ring and cages: Chrome bearing steel
Balls: Chrome steel or carbon structural steel
Cover: Rubber or metal
Non-separable and require little attention or maintenance in service
Capable of operating at high speeds and are widely used radial bearings
Deep groove ball bearings are most commonly used rolling bearings
Can carry much heavy axial loads after increase of radial clearance
Can take the place of high speed angular contact ball bearings
Can used for carrying pure axial loads
