Lead glass is used to prevent X-rays, usually for observe window in the radiation environment such as ray section in hospital, CT room, ray laboratories , nuclear medicine, nuclear reactions place. When increase the performance indicators of the X-rays and γ-ray absorption coefficient, its index value of hardness, high temperature viscosity, softening temperature and chemical stability will be reduced. In that case it will make the glass-forming time to be longer and improve the surface gloss, also let the knock hit sound crisp. Except silica, boron oxide and other glass-forming material things, Lead glass should contain a certain amount of lead oxide.
