A pneumatic filter is a device which removescontaminants from a compressed air stream. This can be done using anumber of different techniques, from using a "media" type that trapsparticulates, but allows air to pass through to a venturi, to a membranethat only allows air to pass through.
Pneumatic filter is now common to have various stages of filtration employed in a filter-regulator-lubricator formfactor, usually with the different filter housings connected. Airfiltration applications are diverse and include end-user sectors such ascleanroom environments, biomedical, analytical instrumentation, foodprocessing, marine and aviation, agriculture, manufacturing, food andbeverage packaging and a host of other uses.
