| | FEATURESThe BB-2791 is based on "smart charging" technology. Theunit automatically detects battery problems such as opencells or other battery problems, which prevent a safe andefficient charge. There are a number of internal safeguardsbuilt into the unit. Temperature, voltage and time aremonitored throughout the fast charge. Fast charge isterminated when the unit detects the battery has been fullycharged. the charger will charge using a constant currentof 2.5A until the voltage reaches 16.8V. When the voltageis reached, the charger will go into a constant voltagemode. When the charge current falls below 240mA, the chargeis complete. There is a 12 hour safety timer if the chargecurrent never goes low enough.
