| Description: | The Tulip chair was designed by Finnish-American designer Eero Saarinen in 1956. The design was originally for the Knoll Company who wanted a chair with smooth lines and a modern feel. At the time, the tulip chair was renowned for its 'space-age' curves and use of materials. These elegant and practical reproductions of the Tulip Chairs are ideal when teamed with one of the Tulip Tables as a dining chair. Base in white lacquered cast aluminum; seat and back in resin; cushion covered in fabric or leather -The frame or shell of this modern classic chair is made of molded fiberglass with glossy finish; -The backrest and seat are designed according to human body structure to insure a comfortable long time seating; -The swivel seat can be made in molded firberglass or cast aluminum. -The cushion is covered by Italian leather or fabric, padded with high elastic foam which is comfortable for seating and will not lose its shape within years; -A zipper is fixed into the fabric or leather to facilitate the change or cleaning of covers; -Black, white, red, brown and beige colors available for cushions -white, black, red or orange colors for fiberglass shell for choice |
