Nickel 205 Wire is most commonly used for the anodes and grids of electronic valves, magnetostrictive transducers, lead wires, transistor housings, and battery cases.

It can also be used in strip form for various applications including Ni-Cd batteries. It is supplied as cold drawn, special temper, annealed, straightened and cut lengths.
