Technical information:
Standard: IEC60502 OR BS6622
Conductor: Copper or aluminium conductors up to 1000sq mm, circular compacted&stranded by IEC228 class2
Conductor screen: Extruded layer of semiconducting XLPE applied under simultaneous triple extrusion process over the conductor along with the insulation and the insulation screen
Insulation: Extruded layer of insulating grade XLPE applied over conductor screen under triple extrusion process along with the insulation and the insulation screen
Metallic screen: A layer of copper tape applied helically with overlap over insulation screen
Laying-up: In case of 3core cables, the 3cores are laid up with non-hygroscopic fillers like PP fillers at interstices and a binder tape is applied with an overlap. 3 binder tapes can be of PVC of foamed Polyethylene.
Inner sheath(bedding): Extruded layer of PVC or PE applied over the laid up cores. PVC and PE as per IEC60502 Part2.
Armour: In case of armoured cables, the armour is applied over inner sheath. For single core cable, aluminium wire for armor; for multicore cables, galvanized steel size, steel tap or steel strip for armor option.
Outer sheath: Extruded layer of PVC,PE,HDPE OR MDPE.
Voltage rating: 3.3KV to 18/30/36KV(U0/U/Um)
Remark: the cable can be with special screen and increased conductivity and other enhanced features.
