HEAD introduces a system that addresses the needs of players with TENNIS ELBOW. They developed a system that integrated the most modern racquet and grip technology for reducing stress on the elbow. The Head Protector just won Editor's Choice in the Nov/Dec 2004 issue of Tennis Magazine.
It features Active Electronic Dampening system (EDS), Protector cushion grip, and Intelligence technology. When the Protector hits the ball, the piezoelectric fibers in the throat produce an electrical output that's transmitted to a microchip embedded in the handle. The chip instantly analyzes the electrical impulse and sends back a countervailing vibration to cancel out the shock.
The Head Swing Style Rating for this racquet is S3. Head recommends that this racquet be strung by a USRSA Certified Stringer.
