sintered ceramic magnet
Ferrite ceramic magnet is sintered permanent magnet composed of barium or strontium ferrite.
This class of magnet, aside from good resistance to demagnetization, has the popular advantage of low cost. Ferrite magnets are very hard and brittle, and require specialized machining techniques.
Ferrite magnet has Anisotropic and Isotropic two type.
Anisotropic types are oriented in the manufacturing direction, and must be magnetized in the direction of orientation. Isotropic types are not oriented and can be magnetized in any direction.
Ferrite magnets are available in varieties of shapes and sizes, including round disks, rings, blocks, arc segments, u-shapes, cylinders block etc. The finished products could be magnetized or un-magnetized as user specified.
Because of their low cost, ferrite magnet has a very wide range as well as very large quantity of applications, including motors, loudspeakers, toys and craft.
