Traditionaly, the medical gases are storaged in gas cylinders. And these separated medical gas cylinders are placed in Operating Theatred, Wards, etc. to supply medical gases. But by this way, it is not so safe. Because usually, the medical gases in cylinders are in a high pressure status, also, some medical gas is combustible matter.
In modern hospitals, the medical gas pipeline system is widely used for medical gases supplying to replace separted gas cylinder.
