Reinforcing Mesh
Reinforcement mesh consists of pieces of wire or rebar welded together to form a grid pattern. The size of the grid pattern is typically 4-inch-by-4-inch up to 8-inch-by-8-inch. This type of reinforcement is used to minimize shrinkage cracking in the surface of the concrete.
Applications of Reinforcement Mesh:
Reinforcing mesh is placed in flat surfaces. This can include the slabs on the ground, walls and more. This mesh helps improve construction times. It considerably reduces the amount of time it takes to reinforce the concrete. Not only do these measures make it more time efficient, but they also make it a safer construction.
Property of Reinforcing Mesh:
Reinforcing mesh is actually steel wires that are welded into a grid. These spaces are usually around 6-10 inches wide. They are, along with rebar, placed in wet concrete in order to make it solid. When the concrete dries, the concrete is more solid and can withstand a lot of weight and pressure.
